Jamey V. Padojino joined Embarcadero Media in 2017 as digital editor for the Palo Alto Weekly/Palo Alto Online. In that role, she covered breaking news, edited online stories, compiled the Express newsletter and curated the Weekly's social media accounts. She was part of the teams that covered the college admissions scandal, fraud conviction of former Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes and missing persons case of a couple that survived nine days in the wilderness, among other stories.
In 2023, she became the company's first audience engagement editor, leading efforts to grow readership across Peninsula publications, with a focus on digital platforms. This involves a focus on newsroom analytics, visualizations and social media, among other areas.
Jamey, a Bay Area native, was previously the South Bay Bureau reporter at Bay City News Service. She graduated from the University of San Francisco with a bachelor's degree in communication studies and minor in journalism.
