There are two venues in Danville to have your pet blessed this weekend. On Saturday, Oct. 3, San Damiano Retreat, 710 Highland Dr., Danville, welcomes furry and feathered friends at 2 p.m. to be blessed by the friars near the statue of St. Francis. Peace Lutheran Church invites everyone to the Blessing of the Animals Pet Festival, noon-3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 4, 3201 Tassajara Rd. Individual pet blessings, animal art exhibit, crafts for kids, face painting and animal experts will be on hand. Both events are free.
